作品《光阴的故事》灵感来自上个世纪中后期在中国的儿童中流行的一种叫“东南西北”的折纸游戏，可以多人一起玩，在折纸里面写有一些文字，参加游戏的人可以选择“东南西北”中的一个方向，再选择一个数字，游戏主开始按照数字闭合折纸，停留在哪个方向的的文字就是属于你的，也许上面写着“猪八戒”或者“一个糖果”，非常象现在的转盘游戏，它曾给那个年代的孩童带来很多乐趣。作者将这种记忆符号用一块传统手工扎染的棉布来表达，并将“春夏秋冬”及八个主要的节气名按照节气表对应的顺序以汉字的形式绣在“折纸”作品上，传达一种慢时光的生活理念和现代人对手工温度的留恋之情。

The inspiration of the masterpiece called The Story of Time stems from the origami game named East-South-West-North. This game was popular in Chinese kids from the middle and late period of last century. There are multiple players, and the players can choose one of the directions of East-South-West-North as well as a number. Those directions and numbers are all written on the paper used in the origami game. This game is quite similar with the nowadays prize wheel game, since players can win prizes such as Pigsy or a candy when they fold the paper according to the number they choose beforehand. The kids from last century had a lot of fun by playing this origami game. The author utilizes a piece of manually dyed cotton to express those characters.
